Default Whats the best engine for my Civc 02

Hey, ive got a civic 02 Dx, i was wondering what would be the best engine for my car, i would be ready to put 1500$ on the engine only, what would be my options? was looking for an engine that would be packing 200-240hp stock, whats on the market??

the best engine, is a stock engine.

everything else will give you problems.

but if you want to BUILD, then i'd put my 2 cents in and say a K20/24 swap....tht would be pretty nasty.

but with your power goal, just piece together a nice turbo kit.

either k series or boost, not a whole lot of options with 7th gens

K-series is totally out of the question, the only option is a turbo kit.....but it will be hard to hit 200hp with that price range. You should really save up some more money if thats your goal.

I say leave the 7th gen alone and add some cosmetics. And if you really want to mod the engine, get some basic bolt ons. You won't really feel a difference but you'll probably beat other local 7th gens.
