Default I'm noob with car shit so if anyone wants to drop a few pointers...

Just got a new 08 Civic coupe
and I'm wondering how to do a parallel from the stock stereo to my subs. and If thats not possible than how is it done general. Do the stock deck's have a sub output level that can be used with my subs?
Also I don't have a clue as to how to install an AEM air intake. I no someones gonna say its probably better if you go get it done pro but id rather take the time to learn some stuff and to save some bills. If anyone can help out a bro that'll be tight thanks!

I'd have to worry if someone had to tell you to get a cold air intake installed professionally, as it's probably...no.....it definitely IS the easiest do-it-yourself mod there is.

Simply take out the stock airbox and you should be able to slide the AEM unit right on there.
Depending onthe vehicle, it may require some mounting bolts, but nothing complicated at all.

as long as you have a decent of tools, you can put that intake on no problem.

pretty sure there's no sub pre-amp output on the stock system. What you'll have to do is get an amp that can splice into the speakers in the back, not a huge deal at all.

If you're looking to use your factory HU for subs and and amp in the back here's what you can do...

You're going to need to get a high level output converter ($50 or so at a Best Buy/ Future Shop). This will have your RCA connection on one end, and the other end will be to splice onto your existing rear speakers. As well you will need to have some sort of remote turn on. What you can do is just connect your remote turn on to something connected to your battery or anything that turns on when the car starts. Then just continue your install as you would if you had used an aftermarket HU.

For me what worked best was for my remote turn on I spliced onto the power wire connecting the battery to your amp with a switch. I wouldn't suggest using a switch only because thinkin i had to keep it on, it was draining my battery and soon found my car was dead. Which is strange seeing as how the car was off and nothing should have been going through it. Second was I spliced onto only my right rear speaker, instead of doing it from the left and the right. I noticed I was looking a lot of sound quality when I had it connected to the two. And the speakers were brand new 6.5' Infinity references.

Try out it, see how it works.

You can do it and all you need is that converter but it isn't $50 its like $15 at the speaker shops around here its not really a huge deal and its not really that big of a deal but we have done this before just check back in on the forums if you have any problems
