i think after finals i'll spend a couple hours making a simple web browser. shouldn't be hard, just a form with a few buttons, a textbar, and an engine control.

Just a guess, but i'd imagine it's because if you just glance at the poll you most likely aren't actually going to vote.

The question in the other thread would be more accurately, what rendering engine does your browser use?

Personally, i switched before IE7 came out. I really liked the tabs and the add-ons, especially ad-block. Now that firefox 3 has fixed most of the little issues with 2 it's even better. Internet explorer hasn't given me a reason to switch back at this point.
