Talking My Favorite Porsche 911... The GT3 RS

As much as I am starting to think that Porsches are boring because there is a lack of evolution in the 911 series over the years, I must admit that the 911 GT3 RS in this color scheme is by far my favorite

i have to ask why you think there is no evolution in the 911. the looks, while in a basic sense have not changed much, and fer very good reason.......its instantly recognizable. it cant be mistaken for anything else. the engineering of the 911 has gone beyond most other cars. variable vane turbos all but eliminating turbo lag on the 911 Turbo, 415HP at 8400 RPMs out of a naturally aspirated GT3, AWD systems that are worls class, they are ALWYS at the top of the list in performance, another thing you might not know is that Porsche has more wins in more different racing series in the world than any other manufacturer. this is because since the 911 was first introduced there has not been one year that the factory has failed to provide support for racing the 911. why do you think you see so many in races, ALMS, Grand Am, club events. they are truly great cars. and they only keep getting better. its an icon and the world will be a sad place IF its not around.

i pride myself in appreciating all cars, even american ford, even though i give ford owners hell(ford elsewhere is much more badass: Focus RS, Cosworth Escort), so i find it hard to deal with people that dont accept anything else and remain ignorant to the great things that every other car maker does. im a european guy at heart, they make the best cars in the world......no competition(my opinion) and i can argue this point til i die. but unfortunately there is no way to prove a best manufacturer, so i try to stay knowledgable in all cars. wish everyone shared my views. you are 100% right though, sexy ass car. if you havent already you need to get to VIR or road atlanta and see and hear them in race spec. its amazing. Rolex is at VIR in april, and GT Live is at VIR in october. ive been to both before, both are absolutely awesome. GT Live is great cuz its so interactive, drawings for ride alongs, subaru was there last year and gave away drives on the track in new STis. my friend won and said it was great, they also had the autocross course set up and you could drive WXs, and if your time was good enough a STi. this year its hosted by playboy too.............so im already there. there was a sweet EG hatch in Redline Time Attack that was nearly keeping up with a new Z06. about 2 seconds off per lap. great racing. great sounds. cheap prices too. $40 gets you a 3day ticket. road atlanta has Petit Le Mans 24 hour. unfortunately its the same weekend as GT Live this year so i wont be going. i cant wait to get a car into an endurance race. i dont care what it is, just something that will last 24 hours. ohhhh yeah, the reason im on here too is im planning on building a EG hatch track car, nothing competetive yet, but GT Live has track lapping sessions where you can pay $100 and get 3 20-minute sessions on the track. so im here for information and help.
