Default 08 Civic Si clutch pedal

Hi, I've had my car for about a year and a half now and i take immaculate care of it. It has never seen a buffalo winter but for some reason the clutch pedal squeaks when you let it out slowly. I have tried to grease the pivots but it only works for a little while. It does not do this all the time, probably about 3 times a month for like a day at a time. Does anyone have any idea what this could be? Thanks a lot.

really have no clue since you did grease the pivots and it still wants to become squeeky. I were you I just deal with the squeek. As long as it doesn't effect your clutch pedal or cause extra resistance I wouldn't worry about it.

Thanks, I have just been trying to ignore it but I just want to make sure that nothing is wrong with any other part of my clutch, in case anyone else has had a similar problem.

I do have a similar problem but it is intermittent and not repeatable. It won't do it when I go to the dealer but it does seem to do it when it's cool outside. Real pain in the neck to get fixed under warranty.
When I had it at the dealer last, they said it made noise for them but when I took it there it wasn't making noise that day. They said they lubed up the joints and it was ok. Who knows. That was yesterday and it has been quiet since then.

noise = friction
friction = wear

do you put alot of miles on your car? if I were you I'd be safe and just get a new clutch soon.

i think the noise he is referring to is like in the joints in the pedal, not the clutch itself.

I just bought an 07 Si and the clutch pedal on it made the same squeaking noise. I got down in the floor and moved it around some listening to it and it was just from the joints. I put a little WD-40 on it and it isn't squeaking anymore now.
