Default Clutch Squeak?

I have a 2002 Civic Lx Coupe and was driving in the rain and when I shifted from 1st to 2nd there was a squeal that sounded like the belt was slipping (that's the only way i could describe the noise) however both times i was turning left so im not sure if its the master cylinder of the clutch or maybe is a belt? anyone else have this problem/ideas, do i need to re grease the master cylinder with lithium grease or is it something else?
