hey guys,so for my 98 civic L.x im geting a d16z6 head swap and im geting info cuz im not familiar with this....so far i have the head,Item picture

93 92 94 95 HONDA CIVIC 1.6L M/T ECU #37820 P28 Virgin D1...
and
MSD Distributor Cap Honda 1.5L 1.6L CIVIC WITH VTECH ACURA
..im not shure if i have to change the whole distributor or just the cap and not shure if im all there....HELP ME WITH ANY ADVISE OR CORRECTIONS CUZ IM NOT GOOD WITH THIS!!THANX

The second half of your post doesn't seem to make sense to me. Can you please clarify?

The OP wants to do a mini-me head swap so that he can boost performance and also get VTEC. As the head (D16Z6) comes form an OBD1 engine, he wants to convert his OBD2 system to OBD1.

The problem is that this set up won't pass CA emissions.
