I need a spring compressor to replace my shocks
where can i get one
i don't want to pay for it for a one time use!

maybe some place will rent one?

PepBoys rents them. The spring compressors are about $50 if you pay for them.

some parts will let you borrow them, you have to pay a deposit but as long as you don't break it you'll get it back

yea u need a spring compressor, u will get it off but u wont get it back on

dude i was watchin HorsepowerTV the other day and they actually had a good idea... just get a chain and while the suspension is still hooked up just put the chain through the springs and lock it... then u can disassemble it and not worry about a spring compressor or your spring flying off and hitting something...

Any Sears in your area should have a Craftsman Spring Compressor for about $40. It works quite well and and for only 40 bucks its inexpensive.

i got mine at sears for 40 bucks..and u will need it later for someting allways good to have around....P.S. Horsepower TV, Two Guys Garage, good shows but if u see the hondas they do... i owuldt take anyadvice from them haha

i thought u were just replacing the shocks... but u could probably just put the new springs on the shocks then screw the bottom of the shock in and line up the top part to the hole, then just use the jack to jack up the arm and compress the spring that way...

You can get one through AutoZone's "Loan-A-Tool" program. Put a deposit down on it, and get it all back when you return it.
