like the topic says, i recently discovered i have a small tear in the rubber boot that surrounds the balljoint on the lower control arm. Is this something to be conscerned about?

well soon it will probably be making a small clunking noise if it hasnt already. 25 buck for a new one at autozone or where ever.

yea i've kinda noticed that noice. Do i even have the name of it right? lower control arm ball joint boot?

the boot is $2.
Remove it, repack the balljoint, install new boot. Remove set ring ![]() remove boot ![]() repack joint and new boot... ![]() make sure there is no grease on taperd part of ball joint stud or on the lip where boot seals...then install new boot and set ring.
