Okay I was at a mall and I was taking pics. I did a tiny chirp(no moke, no rubber on road nothing), and a couple of mins later a security guard came. I panicked and left, and he was following. Wtf can happen omg!

dont worry about it. i got kicked outta the mall yesterday. and as i was leaving i did the sweetest FWD doughnut youve ever seen right in front of the mall cop that kicked us out

Its been over an hour so im not worrying about it. The main reason why I was worried cause I had a friend there whos 18, and im 17, with 9 months of liscnece, and not 12, os theoretically I shouldn't have been driving him.

Little more detailed story if anyone cares. Im taking pics on the top of the mall parking with nobody there, friend is heling me out by doing a long exposure shot. I finish it, and do a tiny chirp. I continue to do some photos, and this securty comes. I panick, get im my car, speed out, stop at the stop sighn for like 15 secs, thinking I should just stop, he doesn't do anything. Then I get out of the parking lot, and he stops following.

I will upload some chirping I did in the middle of nowhere later today :)

Mall cops suck. Often they're wannabe real cops. They might follow you through the lot like they're going to do something. All they'll do is tell you you have to leave or that the mall is private property and you don't need to be doing whatever it was you're doing in the mall.

I mean, if they catch you f***ign kids in your car... then yeah... they'll call the cops and the cops will come after you. But for "exhibition of speed or power"... they usually won't care unless you have absolutely nothing else for the cops to do and the police station is right next to the mall or something.

My theory is the cops know the mall cops want to be real cops. So they're a joke to the real cops too.

In summary, yes, you're worrying too much.

Jason and I took photos of both of our cars plus our friend Scott's car too (the DAP hatch's first shoot with our cars I think) and that was at a mall. We got chased out that time. Then the last time we were over there and took photos in the new section they kicked us out then too.

It's private property and the property owners don't want damage done to their establishment while the stores are closed (or open for that matter).
