OS X for sure, hands down.
simplicity of use is what gets me.

I say Windows XP Pro, but that's only cause i'm running a PC, and i find it to be the easiest to use with my home network (2 pcs, and an Xbox). Plus i hate having to look for compatible software w/ say Linux, Unix, or anything else for that matter

I've been running OS X since the beta days, however I have an Intel Mac, so I run both.

I am running Windows right now, however I prefer OS X because it comes more complete out of the box.

What's funny is...

Back in 2001: "omg Macs are ghey!!! teh lose, Windows forever!"

Today: "omg dude you can like run both systems...lol yes!"

Tomorrow: "omg dude OS X is better than Windows lol"

Windows FTW. I don't feel the need to be different than the establishment.

J/K After visiting an Apple store in Tennessee, I want to make the switch so bad but can't afford a powerbook
Oh and as for why...I liked how sleek OSX was it seemed to be more stable and ran so quick and smooth. I opened MS Word on a powerbook(like the cheapest one they had) and it opened in a fraction of the time of any PC I've used.

if i had money to blow on my 'puter, i would prolly get a mac, cause they're like a bazillion times better then a pc when it comes to editing s***

Wait, did you say it was hard to find editing software on OS X?

I sure hope you meant XP, because Mac OS X was designed for video, pictures, audio, mixing lol

Been using Windows since I was a wee lad. Never had a reason to try anything else since it works fine.

For my line of work(Graphic Design/Editing, Web Design, etc) - Mac OSX, easily. Hard to find companies that don't use OSX as their platform for design.

For recreational and home use - Windows. Just my preference for a home operating system.
