Default How fast should a stock EM1 run?

So I've got a fair amount of work done to my car and for some reason it just seems slow. I might be the 17" rims, the all weather tires, old stock clutch or whatever but the fastest time I could manage this weekend was 16.337 and I thought that EM1's (2000 Si's) ran in the 15 sec range down the quarter mile stock...

So my questions is, what do EM1's run stock?

I'm just curious, in the spring I'll be boosted running AEM EMS so I'm sure my problems will be fixed!

wow...yeah, you should be running mid 15. I've seen civic ex's run quicker times than that.

I knew something was wrong. new clutch goes in when I'm on christmas break. Hopefully its just a dying clutch.... replacing it with a street light ACT flywheel and stage 2 exedy. I'm sure the big heavy rims arent helping though.

now question 2:

In the spring when I boost I'll be running 8PSI around 250HP according to my tuner... How fast would that be? Just asking as a reference because I wont be able to run again until after I'm boosted.

Well how was your reaction time and launch?

Reaction time does not effect your time.

You need to work on your launch before you boost, if you can't get a good launch with 145whp, you won't be able to get a good launch with over 200. A low 15 second time for a boosted b16 pushing 250hp will be embarrasing. How are you launching now?

my launch is fine, RT is around .2 or less. There is some wheel spin at the lauch but not alot. All hondas have wheel spin when dragging and considering I'm running all season tires I think most of that would go away if I had stickier summer tires.

16.337?

Hey! you were still .2 faster than my EX sedan.

Those 17''s probably knocked you down a bit.

My 17''s are freakin' pigs which doesn't help with the turbo lag issues...but they shore are purty!

Maybe you can slap on the OE wheels or borrow a set of steelies and try again?

car has 61xxx miles and is on its 3rd motor. Dont know what happened to the first, then the previos owner installed an OBD1 SiR, I pulled that for what was supposed to be a '99 Si motor but is actually a '96 del sol motor (thanks honda parts for looking up my engine number). In the process of a 2 year legal battle because the shop installed the wrong motor and did a s*** as job of it. If it wasnt for college I would have done but I had zero time and I needed my car back.

As per the comment being about the driver... yes it is, but I know how to drive so I'm sure a pro could drive my car better but I dont think there is going to be a big difference.

here's my mod's list:
Performance:
'96 B16A2 del sol motor (court battle in progress) with factory ('bout the only thing on this car still from honda) ’00 Si transmission
AEM Short Ram Intake
DC Sports 4-2-1 ceramic header
Jackson Racing Cat
Apexi World Sport Exhaust system
Skunk2 Shifter
Energy Suspension Shifter stabilizer bushings
NGK spark plug wires
Bosch platinum 4+ spark plugs
DC Sports Front and rear Strut tower bars
Tein Type Flex Coilovers
Progress front camber kit

Exterior:
'03 Audi Slate gray metallic paint
OEM 99-00 CTR headlights
17x7 Sport Edition Fox 2 Sport rims
Pirelli Pzero Nero M+S tires sized 205/40-17R
Street Glow Underbody Gold series Kit (Green)
Street Glow LED washer nozzles (Green)
VIS carbon fiber trunk lid

Interior:
Push start button
Triple gauge pod with autometer phantom A/F, Boost, and Volt gauges
Red knock off racing seats
Skunk2 Shift knob
Street glow:
- 2 12” bars under the dash
- 2 8” mini bars between the seats on the center console
- 2 LED strobes in the back
Eclipse 8051 8v head unit
Focal 6.5” access series component front speakers with dynomate door kit
JL audio 300/4 AMP
Full street wires wiring
