Default Canceling My DSL!

I wanted to cancel my weak DSL service provided by Frontier Communications and the dam lady told me I had a contract until March of 07!! If i wanted to cancel, I would have to pay the remainder months which is 24.95 a month until MARCH. I was like pshhhhhhhhhhh I ain't paying for something I'm not gonna use. The thing is I never new the contract was renewed...and I'm gettin CABLE tomorrow. What should I do? Is there any way I could cancel without the ETF "Early Termination Fee"?

How long have you had DSL?

You probably signed a 1 year contract for that 24.95 a month. Pay up the money.

lie to them. tell them that you got in a wreck and have no car and can't work, therefore cannot afford to pay them. it might give you bad karma though. but, it would probably work.

No, not really.

They could careless, they are here for one reason.. To make money, not be sympathetic. They are going to make you pay the bills, be it threatening you with taking you to court, and THEN actually taking you to court.

The thing is, I am getting cable tomorrow and I want out on their WEAK SAUCE Service. Is there any way to get around this bull? I knew I had a contract the first year but I didnt even know there was a contract the second time around. What happened was, when my contract was over the first time the price went up on the bill and I called and ask them WTF? and they said ur contract was over. I was like well in that case lemme cancel it. The guy said, if you want I could give it to you for the same price for another year. I guess that was my mistake!!!!!

hate to say it, but you are stuck with it until March...

find out what the ETF is, then compare to what you would pay for internet until March. go with whichever is lower
