Hi, I just bought my car from a dealership and they had the stock number written on the rear window. I don't want to mess anything up, so I was wondering how I can remove it.
Thanks.

Like low said Razor blade will work the best. Especially if you have a holder for the blade sso you can put some pressure on it.

darn, i only have razors that don't have handles. how can you scrub it off? don't you need some kind of chemical or really abrasive scouring pad?

dont use a razor with a handle. just use a blade.
but honestly. if its just grease pen. scrub it off next time you wash your car. no chemicals or abrasives needed. just car wash, water, and a wash mit. or whatever you use to wash your car...

Spray some degreaser on it, and let it sit for a minute, then lightly scrub it off. Or, a razor blade w/a handle works perfectly. Thats what we use at work all the time (im a detailer at a VW dealership)

Some of those pens put that stuff on super think. Just using a razor blade would risk you cutting yourself and it will hurt to torque the blade to pull up the stuff. It so much easier to just use a razor blade in a device with a handle. I hate those pens because a lot of the time the writing never really goes away. If you spray your car with water after you remove the pen gunk you will see an outline of the stuff that was written on the window.

ehh, i use razor blades to remove stickers, gaskets and nastiness all the time, ive never used one with a handle so i guess i wouldnt know.
but ive always just used soap and water to remove grease pen when i write my race number with it and stuff like that, havent had to use a razor. i know what you mean about it leaving a shadow tho.

if its just marker or paint, try Stoner Invisible Glass, that stuff is freeking awesome
if its a sticker, goo gone and a razor blade should be just fine

pee on it. then proceed to rub your balls on it in an awkwardly painful circular pattern.
