Well......I've always wanted to run a 350....and I must say they have some power.

We got only 2 clean runs.

1. (race from a stop) I beat him the first time all the way to 4th gear, but he was catching up fast though.

Civic: 1
350z: 0

2. (race from a stop) He beat me off the lauch and just kept pulling..............lost by 2 cars going into 4th gear.

civic: 1
350z: 1

Overall.........I'm happy, but I want my car to be faster now......

Civic: stock jdm 98 B18c-R in eg Hatch with Intake and exhaust....+ 160lb passanger.

350z: intake and exhaust too...+ 160ish lb passanger.

just sharing:)

b18c type R is probably one of the sickest motors next to a k20, also pretty expensive.

no, your car is slower, and heavier than kangaroo's and he still lost.

i'm gonna say right now that that 350 guy either wasnt really going, or didnt know how to drive. they are quick even when their stock, RWD, torque. i fuck around with my friend all the time and he just rockets off like no-ones business, that was before he was boosted

350Z's run low 14's, a stock type r runs high 14's and that hatch is a lot lighter and has intake and exhaust...sounds right to me.

I got to run a blue 350z not too long ago and I pulled pretty good on him, I have quite a few mods on my em1 though! Run a zex kit with 55 shots and you'll whoop up on a stock 350.

i could take a 350 i run low to mid 13's now and 350 run 14.3-14.1 stock so even if he had a few mods i should still be able to take him lol i wanna race one but never any out at the track around here

Was it an auto or manual, that would make a difference.

It was manual............

and yeah I think I like my b18c-r........more then a H22......but I never drove a hatch with an h22 so I wouldn't know the difference.

i saw some 350's at the track on friday and the older ones with 287 hp were running low to mid 14's and the newer ones with 300hp were running high 13's to 14.0, on the street they will be close to type r or h22 hatches, i'd like to get up against one someday.

I'm not sure but don't they all come with the same motor???

I thought they all had the same motor just different brakes and stereo option.....and maybe suspension too??

All the models have the same exact motor, the only things that change with the models are some aero parts, wheels, suspension and interior things. The 03-06 have 287 hp from a 3.5l V6 and starting in 07 they came with 306 hp from the same 3.5l V6.

not sure but i think the extra power comes from a difference in the intake manifold

i have no idea, and to go with above statements if i had the money for either one i would do the b18c R, i like high revving motors, i went with the h22 because of money, im my opinion it is a great motor for the money, lots of power, i just dont like shifting at 7200, p13 redline. If i had the money i would have done a type r. Just my thoughts.

All motor, that would be fun.

I've considered many times going all motor but I have been bitten by the boost bug and I'm still infected, lol.

Having more horsepower and no torque is like having cereal and no milk. I thought you knew this?
