so i was driving home from onesix yesterday night and as i was coming to my turn into my hood. i downshifted as that happend the check engine light came on then bam!! her loud clunking noise from my engine bay and the pedal vibrated hardcore. i let off the gas and the car just dies. i have couple of my buddys push it home. i kew somthing bad happend but not this bad here are pics RIP low 12- high 11 Second car it never got to make a full hard pass at the track =( my 93 civic hatch is yet again sitting in the garage with out a motor in it so sad but at the end of this year it will be built stronger faster lol

ya tell me about it at least the eagle crank and rods are just fine valve springs and cams are fine so time to find another b16 head swap what i can port polish the bitch 14 to 1 comp stage 2 skunk 2 pro on a ls vtec hmmm no more b20

nope on a good tune i can run pump gas with stage 2 cams but when i go to the track i switch the chipp out i will have 2 tunes on hondata one for driving it one for racing it i will be runing 101 octane when i beat on it

ya i know.. my motor blew with not even 1k on it because the shop effed up on bearin clearences, but for some reason they were not liable for it and then they went out of buisness.. It does suck after buildin and it blows

fully built dog everything you could of done was done even the trans was built Gsr quaife lsd 4.9 final drive ya the fucker took off now i just have to work for the motor again this time im not taking it to some machine shop im taking it to extream parts in WI because he has a mid 10 sec car all motor b20 that he built himself so ima let him do his thing with my motor

um 300 HP? to N/A thats asking alot from a 4 cylinder the guy that runs extreme parts has a b20 only putting down 260hp and he runs mid 10s so idk what your talking about 300 i was in the 220 230 HP range of N/A you may need 300 HP to run something in a turbo car but N/A Horsepowers allot different. my power band is so much greater then some one thats turbo and the person whos doing my machine work this time is extreme parts

im not comparing my shit to his im saying and yes i have dynoed the car if i could remeber were i put the fucking chart i would post it but it really doesn't matter anymore because the motor is blown up ill let you run the new set up ur not worth my time to fight over some stupid shit when i know what im talking about cuz i built the motor it was in my car and i ran it so ya just wait for the new set up

yes it was set up for 100 shot no problem i will not be spraying on this one because of the compression that i will be running it will have more of a chance to detonate so im keeping all motor power so i dont have to rely on a out side source for that power =)
yes i did some searching and came up with this all everything they are saying is pretty much true here so i believe it was worn guides my dumb ass didn't go with chromoly guides i stuck with titanium and they wear out very easily specially when your revving up to 9500 rpms all day this is a kinda of explanation of what happens
VALVE FAILURE
Worn guides can also contribute to valve breakage. The guides support and center the valves as they open and close. A worn guide will allow the valve to wobble slightly as it opens, which cause it to drift off-center with respect to the seat. This can cause the head of the valve to flex slightly each time it closes (much like a valve with a nonconcentric seat). After so many cycles, the metal fatigues and the head of the valve breaks off from the stem.
