Well here it is i said in my previous thread i was picking up a shell well here it is.. its a 1990 crx si shell.. the quaters are pretty much shot but im gonna do all the bodywork before i start moddin the actual car at all..

it will be comin with two sets of si seats.. new carpet and a used one.. two hoods.. factory sway bars.. im gettin an ls oil pan out of the deal and a brand new radiator.. the only thing the car is missing is the rear wheel disk breaks

ye it does have a sun roof doesnt leak but is rusting.. this car is gonna require alot of bodywork but couldnt pass it up for the price.. should be at my house next weekend if i didnt mention that

yea its gonna be like a resto/build.. this car is gonna be built for the track so no lips or anything like that prolly.. its prooly goona be rattlecanned for a while after i finish the body but oh well as longs as its fast in the end

well i picked it up yesterday got some work done on it.. got the front end apart and the rear of the interoir out i still got alot of cleaning to do on the inside and in the bay im gonna tuck everything now since there is no motor.. i got four si stock seats and only one thats not ripped oh well i think im gonna try and fix the one cuz its not in real bad shape.. on to the pics

yea it wont be too bad once i get my hatch running at 100% again i need to replace the alternator and clutch in it then i really start workin on this im thinkin about buyin a welder and tryin to weld the quarters in myself or im gonna use that body panel glue im not sure yet though

yea i may do that or i may try and do it myself but i know it will be way easier for a shop to do it but deff cheaper if i do.. im not sure yet no matter what it will get new metal in the quarters no bondo job on this car

well to get it in my name and to my house it was a little over 400 but i paid 200 for just the shell plus extras it was a real steal

yea i have no idea what turbo i wanna run.. i dont know what gonna be able to achive my goal but not crush my budget cuz im still gonna be young once i get around to piecing together the kit.. im gonna do the suspesion first then the swap and then get it inspected.. then ill fix the body after all that it will be time for

i bet alot of those engine plans will change, once you start buying parts, you will need the proper size turbo.
it will take you a long time to build.
since your only 17.

look into the garret GT turbos, but the turbo should be sized properly to your setup.

oh yea i know things will change without a doubt im just tryin to get an idea on what sort of turbo i should run.. i dont plan on even startin to peice the kit together until prolly the spring of 09 i just wanna get it running and inspected by the end of the upcoming year

and if your going to run a vtec engine, dont get a B16, atleast spend the extra on a B18c (GSR or type R)

i dont see why not? as long as its a dohc non vtec b series valve cover it should fit.

nice build by the way i am also goin b18 in my 4 door ef, btw i dont know what you plan to do about the alternator but I am making a bracket to mount it in the front of the engine bay insead of bashing in the wall in the back. I would highly suggest it.

Bro take that head to a Machine SHop and Have someone look that thing over that dull orangy gold color on the inside of that head means Lack of lubrication it was starvin for her oil boss make sure it dont go no cracks no where man.

Your gonna want to put a few welds on it also, that glue isn't 100%.

i hate dody kits so bad.. i got the whole pass side sanded no more fiberglass or rust thatnk god.. i have it primed for now.. no pics i wanna hopefully get the rear bumper and taillights in tomorrow and start sanding the driver side

so i got a little work done today on the rex.. no pics but i got both front windows installed and got both door handle hooked up and fuctionin.. also started tearnin out the dash should have it out tommorrow and put in my other one the i can start to put my interior in

got a little more work done today layed the carpet down for a little paddin when i work, got the dash out and all the heater shit, also pulled the harness through to the inside so i can start tuckin everything..

Well since its starting to get nicer out its time to start work on the crx again.. today i got the wiring harness completely out abd am starting to cut up my parts car.. im also picking up my motor im gonna use for this tomorrow its alittle different than the norm some people may hate it but im gonna give it a try.. well i got em the arent super clean but by no means are they in bad shape.. all i need now to star assebling the suspensiopn of the car is rear struts, a bushing kit, a traction bar and rear toe links cuz ill be running da rear disks and i pretty sure i heard it throwws the toe off on a crx.. expect more updates very soon

ordered my bushing kit and rear struts.. after i install all the bushings the only thing i will need to put the car together and make it rolling is the traction bar.. will post pics once i get the the stuff

Well after goin through 3 cars since i last worked on this i have decided its time to bring this back.. Since i always wanted a rex i will be sticking with it this time around.. My Goal For right now is to get this rollin and possibly have the interior together by this spring.. Between working full time and my truck payment what little time and money i have will be going into this but expect some little updates every now and then.. i think tommorow im gonna throw the rear suspension on the car so if i do ill post some pics up.. This car is going to be built as a backroad/autocross car so it will stay na the zc for now but i will be upgrading to something better if anyone has any comments or suggestions throw them out there im open to ideas on the motor or the build

Well I got my rear camber kit, toe kit and my stock lower control arms on for now.. im going to go get some under coating now to do my trailing arms cuz they are a bit rusty i just ordered new trailing arm bushings and i will have some nice new looking trailing arms for it..
