well, wasn't happy with my front end so desided to do something different and rear ended a mercedes on the way to work this morning... I'm not too happy with the look. What do you think? He hit a car and stopped short, so i was next... wasn't my fault, but we'll see the report next week... i'm fucking pissed... the prick was harassing my wife as if she was the one driving... asking if she was on a phone or driving without license, or how long was she driving for... I was driving... if it wasn't for her, I'd punch his lights out

mercedes drivers - HMPH!! my parents live on a the corner of a 3 way stop...public street T's into a street that is public if you turn left (where my parents live) and a rich private gated community if your turn right....i always see this dude in a black merc flying through the gate, and completely blowing through the stop sign...
one day im out cutting some plywood for my dad, and i hear a car revving down the road, so i head out to the stop sign, and sure enough its the mercedes dude....his windows are down, and hes coming in heavey, sure enough, he's not slowing down....i yell out to him, point to the stop sign, and tell him to slow down....he comes to a stop AFTER the intersection, and says something to me like, "who are you to tell me to stop at this stop sign"...i started walking his way and he just took off
anyways, sorry about the accident

i would've thrown a hammer into the middle of the intersection and when he got out and flipped out on u, i woulda said, "if u stopped at the traffic sign, that wouldn't have happened"

wife there or not, i woulda hit the prick.
i used to work on mercedes (as well as bmw, audi, porsche, jag, etc) and have to say the only thing more dangerous than a benz driver is a benz driver and a CELL PHONE. i loved that i didn't have to talk to the retards. i hated them more than anything in the world.
BMW drivers on the other hand tend to be a litlte more attentive.

I "nudged" a Mercedes Benz once in a parking lot.
When I say "nudged" I mean I was moving like 1/2 mile an hour. Slower than walking speed. She had parked way too deep in the spot opposite mine and it was one of those uber-tight downtown parking lots so I was paying more attention to the car on my left to see if our mirrors would hit and if I'd even be able to open my damn door to get out.
Didn't do anything to my 3rd gen Prelude. Not even a scuff mark on the paint. Didn't even hit my bumper, it was my hood that did the damage. Even the chromed plastic "H" ornament on my hood was undamaged. left an imprint on the Benz's bumper.:rolf:
Did $800 worth of damage to her Mercedes Benz.:suprise:
On a whim I called Daimler Chrysler to bitch about how a 10 year old Honda sustained 0 damage and their "finely engineered Nazi wagen" sustained so much damage. What's the point of a bumper that cannot be bumped at all or all the freaking clips pop out and it leaves an indentation?
"Crumple zones", that's what they told me. :rolf:
If you need to be protected from a frontal "crash" at 1/2 mph you probably aren't healthy enough to be driving. :retard:

sorry to be the bearer of bad news.. but it is more than likely your fault.. in jersey at least... it is your job to remain in control of your car and maintain a safe following distance..
good luck with it though..

BMW drivers are just as bad.
They tend to drive like I owe them the right of way because of the car they drive.
Like they will drive around everybody when there's a wreck then pull up alongside me and expect me to let them in.
Fuck you. what are you going to do? Hit me? My $15,000 Mazda will do as much damage to your $48,000 530i as you do to me. Should have waited in line like everyone else.

You keep saying it's not your fault, but you will have to come out of pocket for the repairs? If it actually was found to be his fault his insurance would be paying for your damages. What did the police say? In MD it's your fault if you rear end someone, no matter what the reason is. I almost got charged when I was PUSHED into the guy in front of me by an SUV at a red light.

x2. In most cases, the person that hits from behind is the person at fault. Like oc said, you need to keep a safe distance from the car in front of you. 2 second rule or whatever it is, and that's for dry conditions. Isn't it like 5 for rain / snow?
Sucks though... Hope things work out :thumbs up. I've only gotten into 1 accident the 4 years (in May) I've been driving *knock on wood*. And I used to drive insanely crazy back when I was still in high school / first half of my college freshman year. I'm surprised I'm not dead by now.

the one wreck ive ever been in was in daytona on vacation. i plowed my dad's explorer into the back of an escort which had like 5 pets in kennels in the back seat and a pregnant lady passenger... omfg that sucked. no one was hurt except my g/f smacked her head on the passenger sunvisor and broke the little mirror ..
good luck with your situation though, hope it works out in your favor

I don't know if it'll be his fault or not. The fact that the Mercedes hit the other car first is going to help way the fault to the Mercesdes. Usually the car to cause the accident takes the full brunt of all the insurance claims. The fact that he didn't hit the Benz and then the Benz hit the other car is usually when he'll have a at fault citation. I'm sure he'll et a ticket, if even that, but I doubt he'll get at fault.

:werd: I work at Lowe's and I push carts every once in a while. We always get pricks flying through there at like 30mph in the parking lot, next time I hear someone doing that im gonna shove a cart out in front of them=)
Like that guy said, in Jersey its your own responsibility to remain in control of your vehicle, and they have no business flying through there at fuckin 30mph at least when theres kids running around and shit.

hehe.. my car was stolen before so i put in the locks for that reason ... just unhook the battery and lock the hood... they are jammed right now and thanks to locks i was able to drive back to jersey and not lose the hood on highway :D i guess they did their part... now if i had hoodpins that would be a different story
