What happened to the days when pictures werent edited at all? Just to be resized, and abit of color correction?

the bright reflection on the car windows makes it look fake, but other than that, its really cool!

I've never understood the point of HDR lol.

Looks pretty cool though.

I don't think there has to be a point to it. it's just nice to be able to do it.

The point was to put all the dynamic ranges of the photo, into one.

What did you use to make the picture HDR?

Canon 40D... My widest lens at the time was a 18-55 (crapo lens)
Take 3 exposures (normal, bright, dark)
Put them together (i used Photoshop to merge them)
Then photomatix to tone map them.
Tom Janz, I wanna be just like you when I grow up!!! :) ok maybe when I get my camera and actually learn to take them lol. lol thanks.. Practice.. I'm still a noob.

looks nice. a little hazy on my screen tho, dont know if its just me or not Crappy lens = crappy image quality

the bright reflection on the car windows makes it look fake, but other than that, its really cool! Shiny objects have reflections... In most cases just like shadows, high light adds dimension/depth to an image.

I've never understood the point of HDR lol.

Looks pretty cool though.
The human high eye has a much greater Dynamic range then a camera (ability to see a wider range of light). Which means.. A camera cant see very bright and very dark at the same time, like we can.

So what an HDR is, you take mulitple exposed so you get detail in every part of an image. \
Normal (Mid tones details)
Dark exposure (Highlights details)
light exposure (Shadows details)

So when you merge them all together, you have detail in the entire picture.

The point was to put all the dynamic ranges of the photo, into one.
Exactly.

Thanks everyone for the comments, before this image ive only played with HDR like once. I'm sure ill be doing more of this.

will you post up another HDR??? that's sick. I don't quite understand when you say differenty types of exposures, but then again i dont' have a dslr camera just yet.
