Finally got my my shit to the sacraceway opening day last night (wed. night) and im loving the LSD/flywheel/clutch... but are my times showing it??
but burning out is a whole nother w0rld with LSD, let me tell you, i wish i had tires to waste, cuz if i could get my tires hot, i prolly bring my time down, but what do you guys think
i got 6 runs in, the first 3 runs i was waitin on my homie to get there so i could unload some weight, so the first 3 runs i had my sub, randomn bs in the trunk ALL of my school books and some ohter randomn shit, we wont go into those times lol
track was really cold the whole night, i tried to light em up, but i dont wanna go thru tires that fast
but FULL INTERIOR (minus spare tire) (and minus that header that is in my sig, i have yet to get)
RT - 1.0 (it was shitty all day long, not use to the new clutch/flywheel, HELLLA different from stock)
60ft - 2.310
1/8 mile - 9.875
1/4 mile - 15.278
mph - 89.482
my best R/T for last night was a .881, use to get that consistantly or .6XX oh well
need a big brake upgrade next ASAP ... can downshift with 9lb flywheel
btw - ill try to make sense of this, for an intake, you guys know that U pipe that connects to the resonator? and the intake box? well half way (middle of the U) i cut it in half, so for e.g. where the AEM CAI filter is at, its just OPEN right there going str8 up to the airbox like it normally would with a filter .. does that make sense?? ill try to have pix of it tomorrow

that is a pretty good time for limited mods. work on your 60ft., r/t is only good for the hole shot.

Talk to ZC_VTEC about r/t. He's a member of the perfect light club(he cuts.1xx all the time). That's not too bad, for a heavy ass coupe especialy. My bro runs 15.4 in his ZC equipped hatch, but he may have more mods. One thing you will notice with such a light flywheel is that the car is way harder to launch. This is because the engine has less inertia. ZC knows all about that too
P.S. we are really high above sea level here, so he'd probably run closer to a 15 near sea level.

i would recommend just buying some cheap nittos from tognottis they are like $50 a tire for 15's and get sticky and work well... thats what i used in my 92 teg and got into the 14's with i/h/e

Custom made CAI (Comptech icebox style)? Add a veloctiy stack to it.

i dont quite understand your question..........and you dont need a big brake upgrade, give it time and you will get used to the flywheel and start to love that shit

that exactly it... what is velocity stack?

they help increase airflow but i only seen those on turbo applications, but I'm pretty sure that make something for N/A

well, i got my brake question situated, but all i was sayin about brakes was tht using a 9lb flywheel to slow you down isnt going to happen... like when i use to use my stock 18lb flywheel, it slowed me down....
and i already love the clutch/flywheel/lsd
and my question .. well not really a question, except for maybe. . .and i quote myself

i have a 9lb flywheel and engine braking is far easier with it because it has less rotational mass which means it spins down faster........and those mods wont necessairly make your 1/4 mile time faster, thats why you have not seen any differences, the main thing is traction, since you have good traction now, fine tune your suspension setup to attempt to dial in better times

just as it sounds... need to get your power to the ground... then see what kinda times u get

how the fuck is braking EASIER!?!?!?!?!? with a 9lb flywheel, if you leave the car IN GEAR and let OFF the gas . . your NOT GONIG TO SLOW DOWN FASTER.. you actually dotn slow down AS fast as you would with a 18lb flywheel, does that makes sense??????

a 9lb flywheel has LESS rotational mass therfore it has less INTERTIA, therfore the engine spins down faster.......you are the one saying you need a big brake upgrade .......its simple physics, what does not make sense is you trying to gasp a concept but having it ass backwards, so instead of overreacting next time, why dont you try reading........
