If you removed the head for machining or timing belt replacement double check your valve lash to specs.

Do you have a check engine light? Could be many things like TPS, Distributor, Ignition coil, ECU, Etc...

Did you do an engine swap or whats the deal here? Whats the reason why you removed the cylinder head in the first place?

If you have your TPS unplugged, you wont be able to rev past a certian point. On a D16Y8 Vtec engine, with a TPS sensor unplugged, it wont rev past 2000rpm, no matter what. Make sure you have all your sensors plugged in, and to the right sensor.

i got it running it was the timing it was off by like 7 teeth... my friend picked up the car in perfect condition from this old guy for only 225, we got new spark plugs and redid the cam timing and bam, car is amazing i gotta say... im still looking for a 6th if anyone know anyone selling one... a shell alone would be fine cause both my friend and i are looking at droppin in a b18 in both the cars but the body needs to be in good condition

Damn your timing was definately off well at least you got it running. I would check the valve lash to see if they need to be adjusted that way it can run to it's peak performance.

well my friend just wants the car to work so he can get to work and back then he will drop a b18 in it

one more thing you think you can get me intructions on how to change a clutch in a 01 ex, i know what im doing but rather do something with instructions since ive never really worked on civics before

oh and would a 01 ex clutch fit the 92 vx? the company send me two clutches instead of one and i only paid for one and since the one in the 92 is going i figure we could just drop that in
