Hey, I have a d15b vtec engine from my 1992 ferio vti. I got told to put a b20 block on this engine but there really hard to get hold of but i can get hold of a f20 block.

I know the b20s are from a prelude Si and the f20s are from an accord Si.

Would it be any difference if i had the f20 on it instead of the b20?..

Thanks

B20's came in early Preludes and CR-Vs. Both are completely different from each other and are NOT interchangeable. Same goes with the F20. Putting an F20 into a Civic is going to require alot of work, and IMO isnt worth it. If your going with a B20, make sure its either a B20b or B20z. B20a's will NOT fit in a Civic frame.

Yeah F20 are more work unless you've got the time and money. Go with the B20b/z for sure.

As long as its a CR-V B20b/z, yes. You'll need mounts for it. Haspro makes mount kits, along with a few other companies. If you want stock OEM mounts, you'll need them from an Integra. Not too sure on what years, b/c Im not too familiar w/the EG chassis.

I'm pretty sure it's the 94-00 mounts from an integra that will fit in the civic, or you can get the eg Si mounts which has the b16 motor

The EG Si came with a D16z6, SOHC Vtec. Not even close to a B16 motor. The EG SiR came with a B16 I believe. But I think your right w/the 94-01 mounts out of the Tegs.

It won't. You can't put a B head on a D block, or vice versa.

A B20 or B18B block with a B series VTEC head would be a nice, common, practical swap.

yeah sourcing parts for the f20b will drive you crazy.. i would go the cheaper route and reap the benefits of being able to locate b series performance parts..

Man go with the b20 block. Thats what I'm doing and becareful when purchasing a motor from the streets because it could be stolen. Do your research.

EDIT: Oh yeah, my CC members, I just found out that my block that I purchased wasn't stolen! It was purchased from Honda dealership, and it didn't come with a vin. My uncle's b18c5 was purchase from the dealer, and those 2 holes where the vin was suppose to sit at, is also visible. His didn't come with the vin either. HOORAY for me XD!

Get a f22 swap. Same thing as an h22 but with an f instead of an h ;)
