Just bought my first honda, got a 91 civic dx, i could already drive stick with no problem. so i know i didnt cause this, but when i shift(any gear but 1st) it feels like the gears are slipping out, cuz when i give it gas the wont accelerate but the car will rev up almost like i was holdin the clutch in. Its pretty embarrasing cuz the kid before me has the loudest annoying exhaust on this beast. so i am i right, i need a new clutch? oh and it doesnt bog down and im gettin a weird smell when it happens. thanks in advance guys

first not slipping is really weird... the clutch sounds gone but if you still have first maybe something with the tranny?? dont take my word for it but if changing the clutch press plate and throw out bearing doesnt fix it try to find another trans. and if you can afford it get a flywheel while you're in there...

not too hard... i'm just too lazy... you'll have to seperate motor and tranny... and replace it... its pretty self explanitory...
