uh, not really, most si owners stock dyno in the low 180's, with the r18 tsi kit you will also dyno at low 180's, i wouldn't really call that faster, and with less money it's easy for a Si to break 200hp with out needing a tune, hell with a Si you can hit 250 with less then it cost for that turbo kit.

but how much tq does a turbo r18 dyno at?

yes, its about the same as the HP numbers. :D

yes, its about the same as the HP numbers. :Dwhile i find your question interesting, the question is what is the stock tq also, and is it just as equal to the Si stock or greater, or not all together.

heres my turbo r18 with the tsi tune on 10psi. vs. a modded si. (i.h.e.)

dont mind the annoying dude talking the whole time. and i would have taken the si by more but the dude riding with me weighed about 250lbs.

Holy shit that guy is annoying. I felt like hitting him in the mouth with an iron pipe than shoving my foot down his throat.

which is fine and dandy on a good tune with 10psi, but at the fact setting of 6-7pis on taht kit how would it compare is my main question, which goes back to the original statement of being faster then a Si, but then i can throw in the dickish comment of lets turbo the Si and lets see what happens, lol.:drive:

either way props on your car, i like it.

I dont think its a dickish comment, I think its the truth. I would rather have a stock Si than a turbo'd EX.

Edit: This is in an 8th gen scenario  I would never want a 7th gen Si

i like my car better than si's, i still have black interior, but i like the blue better than the orange-ish red.

turbo'd si's from what ive seen get around 250 hp and what 170-180tq?
turbo'd r18's ive seen personally get 210hp and 205tq without even going crazy on the psi.

then you get cheaper insurance from the r18. and easier to change oil haha.

of course there are benefits for both parties, so there really is no sense in disputing it. im just tired of everyone saying, "whats the point of turboing an r18" or "should have bought an si"

as far as insurance goes though, you have to factor in the age of the owner and their driving history when it comes to premiums, cause it will vary from one person to the next, sure the r18 may be cheaper overall, however giving a good history and right age, the Si is just as cheaper, even my full coverage on my Si and my age, i pay about $70.00 a month for full coverage:word:

well im 23 and have a few wrecks/tickets on my record when i went to get my civic, and insurance woulda been about as much as the car payment for an si.

That's all based on setup. I've seen NA Si's with 250hp/200tq. I can only vouge for two boosted Si's One putting down 400hp and the other dropping 500+ on a stock block with stock compression.
