Sorry if this is in the wrong section moderators, feel free to move it, just tell me where haha.

Anyways, i was snoopin around craigslist and found this 6th gen. 99 coupe with gsr swap (99xxx miles on swap) and a few goodies. The guy is coming down this weekend and is willing to trade straight up for my 01 lx with 80,xxx miles. Is this a good trade? My car is in my sig, and his is in this link.

I'm gonna get my buddy who works at honda to check out the engine and such but just want some opinions. Thanks guys :)

EDIT: please take a brief look at both cars.

there is prolly a reason he wants to trade cuz he said he has 2 cars already and he needs to get rid of one...

i mean check it out, but dont jump on it and throw cash at him or a trade...

drive it. check it over. then do the trade..

I just don't see someone trading that perfect car for a 01? Doesn't add up if you ask me... 99 is basically the perfection of Civic's IMO... with an amazing Power Plant... I dunno doesn't add up/...........

i'd do it. kids has a nice 99, and i can see he's put the time and energy into that a honda deserves.

drive, ride, cruise, and feel it. if you can see yourself rolling in it, then i say go for it.

I'm with mymemoryloss. There is a reason why he is dumping this one off out of his other 2. Find out what that EXACT reason is and go from there.

Thanks for all the opinions guys but decided to not trade. I'm just too hesitant to buy an engine with modded internals that I didn't see get built. Plus i like my lx haha. Mods you can close thread or erase it whatever works. Thanks for the quick replies guys!
