Whats up from WA

Hey everybody

Im a 22 year old Female from Washington. I have loved Hondas since I was 16. Started out with a 87 Acura legend I got for free, bought a 92 Prelude which was my baby until some b***h in a minivan hit me and totaled it (damn women drivers). Got a couple crappy cars after that. As of an 2 hours ago, I am now the proud parent of a 97 civic. It was painted by a graffiti artist so its pretty unique. Now im trying to figure out if I want to repaint or keep it the way it is. Im just happy to have another honda

Does anyone know if you can clear coat over spray paint or if it will ruin it?

ill see, right now its loud as f**k with the exhaust, i think im gonna end up attracting a lot of unwanted attention from the cops, so i think im just gonna primer it until i can get a paint job

I'd fix the exhaust first. Then do what other mods you we're thinking of to see how it all goes. Then, if you still don't like it after that... paint. Shit is definitely unique, and that's the reason we do any of this stuff in the first place right? I like it.

Its definitely pretty unique. It seems like it would get pretty old after awhile though. But thats just my opinion

Im primering it on sunday, my roomate has a full greddy exhaust thats not as loud as the one on there now that came off an eg he said I can use. Drove it to work today and found out people like to ride my ass but other than that it was a nice drive.

Ugh... I think you saw that all wrong. The first picture she posted was her totaled Prelude that she had, hence why it is not covered in graffiti. The pictures after that are of a EK Civic, and from the looks of it the EK has not been wrecked.

It was cheap and I wanted something to work on. I can do most of the work myself and what I don't know how to do my boyfriend or friends do. Plus I hated my dodge caliber and owed way to much money on it.

Hey congrats on the honda I LOVE IT!!.... Personally I wouldnt do anything with spray paint and wouldnt even bother messing with it. Thats just me... If you was wanting to do anything id go get good paint made for cars and go from there. But also its definatly unique and I doubt id ever see another one I really love it Congrats on the buy the car looks awsome the way it is =) glad you posted pics you get a 10/10 in my book

Thanks everybody, I am going to try to clean the spray paint off and see whats underneath. Hopefully the paint is ok but at least the interior is pretty nice

I would leave it the way it is, change out the grill & clearcoat the whole car & make it shine, get some rims @ call it a day, glwb!

I like it a lot, personally i would fix the muffler ten drop it and put rims on it like 95coupeWI said. You don't really see something painted like this anywhere but its pretty unique. Its your personal preference to do what you want to the car.

Just take some 220 grit or something finer like that to cut through the clear coat or whatever it has, then work your way up and get some spray paint primer on it. Then you can wait for paint. Welcome to the site btw! Truthfully I would assume that and a loud exhaust would end up getting you pulled over lots.

That's the problem, I can't afford to be getting tickets. Tomorrow is work on car day so I will see what I end up doing ill keep everyone posted.

So after close to four hours of work she is black. I just couldn't stand it anymore. I just spray painted it, not the best job in the world but it will do for now.

Thanks I've decided when I get the time im gonna sand her down and paint her the right way. Until then I've got some plans to reupholster my seats and redo the interior
