Sooooo.... I recently have noticed a slight noise coming from my engine. While my car is in neutral with the clutch depressed, a "shhhhhhhh" sound is heard, it sort of sounds like its not in neutral all the way. However, when I do press the clutch in, the sounds goes away...only to come back...
I thought it was the input shaft bearing but my friend told my it was a thrall bearing or whatever, Im not sure... ?
ALSO, whatever is may be, how long do I have until Im screwd?
anddddd what do you guys recommend for a new clutch if needbe ?

stock replacement always works. I've heard good things about exedy stage 1's too.
Sorry I can't comment on the noise :/

thats the throwout bearing making the noise
But this guy can ^ :D
I'm curious too though Trekk, in case my own car ever developed this problem, is this necessarily a bad thing?

Well TBH it was sort of a guess, Diagnosing something without tearing it apart can be tricky.
A little overview, the flywheel is bolted to the crankshaft, the pressure plate is bolted to the flywheel, the clutch is between those two, and splined to the input shaft on the trans. As the motor runs and you push the clutch to the floor, the flywheel/pressure plate as one pc, spin around the clutch disc. As you let off the clutch peddle, the pressure plate reduces the clearance between the (flywheel /--/ clutch /--/ pressure plate) so it all spins as one. Since the clutch is the only thing attached to the input shaft, when your foot is off the peddle, the power of the engine is sent to the trans by the input shaft.
Pretty much, everytime your foot is off the clutch, the input shaft is spinning. So say your in N and your foot is off the peddle you hear the noise, peddle in, it goes away. It might be a bearing inside the transmission.
Normally if you had a loud sound as you pushed the peddle down, that would be your throw out bearing, because as you push down, the throw out pushes on the fingers of the pressure plate.
While my car is in neutral with the clutch depressed, a "shhhhhhhh" sound is heard, it sort of sounds like its not in neutral all the way.
However, when I do press the clutch in, the sounds goes away...only to come back...
Right. You need to edit where the clutch pedal is in the two scenarios above. It sounds like in both cases, the clutch pedal is pushed down.
If the noise is heard only with the clutch pedal up, then you likely have a bad transmission main bearing, typically the input shaft bearing. If you can pull the transmission and disassemble it, the bearing can be replaced to fix the transmission.
