what is a b16a motor?? is that the same as the vtec motor ??

the b16a motor is what is in the 99-00 civic si's, and yes..it has vtec

no problem..go into the engine tech area of the forums..they have an area where it tells all the engine codes and everything u need to know about honda engines

technically the b16a2 came in the usdm99-00civic si and the 92-00civic sir2. the b16a came in the 88-91 civic/crx sir and ?-93 integra xsi.
