Ok, so I purchased a set of reverse indiglo gauges off of Ebay, and I plan on installing them by next Saturday (work permitting) I just got them in the mail from the auction I got them off of. Here is what they look like.

Now Here is the part I do not understand. Most people would say "duh that is the on and off switch", but me, I am not sure wtf to do with this part of the kit. There were no instructions on installing the kit, and I have searched everywhere and I did not see anything with this oddity included.

Any ideas? Has anyone seen this before with a gauge kit?

Any ideas, thoughts, and suggestions are welcomed. I want to do this right the first time.

Obviously looks like the on/off switch, especially since it says on off.

To get a better understanding though I think most people would need to know what's in the bag above the guages in the first pic.

I understand that it is an on/off switch. The bag in the top picture is where all of the wires connect to to make them function. The bagged wires/fusebox connects to the car (appropriate places). About the on/off switch though, I have never seen this in a car before, and I this is the only year I have missed HIN in Chicago, not to mention the DVD's and speed channel shows that I have watched, books I have read about modding cars, etc. That is why I am confused. I have never seen an on/off switch like this in a car before, and honestly I think it looks kinda gay. I hope I do not need to install this, and can just wire everything else to the car so it will function like the normal gauge lights will.

Millhouse609, you used the switch? Do you know if you can bypass it? I think it looks cheap personally, and I don't really want it sticking out in my car lol.

I cut mine off and led the 12v to the dimmer switch and the black to a ground. and by doing that the gauges turn on whenever you turn on your headlights.

Yea was gonna suggest that too. That's how most I seen came anyway. I never saw them come with a on/off switch. Usually just a dimmer knob with a button to switch between blue/green or whatever. Only thing is sometimes when you run them to the dimmer it can blow the fuse.
