red and clear tail lights

i plan on painting my stock tails so that they are similar to si tails with the red and white....why is it i've seen some with the red on top, and some with the red on bottom?whats the difference?

yea, i like those alot, i wanna do the same thing to by stocks ones rite now since i am low on money, but i've seen some where the red is on the bottom

the tails with the red on the bottom are the JDM SiR tails. I'm almost 100% sure they don't make em for a sedan.

so what do you guys think i should do? go with a red bottom or top, keep in mind i'm using stock tails...

i dun think it matters.

so you wanna make your stock tails half red and half white? You would only be able to paint the top completely red because of the reverse light.

what kind of paint did u use to do that MorphiasX ? and did u use like a ruler so the red line would be straight? i still have sucky altezzas :(

you just gotta tape it off in a straight line. you gotta cover the part your not painting after all

I used "Testors" translucent candy apple red paint, its actually model car paint, so you can pick it up at your local craft or hobby shop, i got mine at Micheals craftstore... I taped a plastic bag over everything but what i was painting. Check out this thread, its from when i did mine, and if you still have questions send me a PM...
