Ok here's my question, well not really a question just want some feedback...

I have a '93 Civic 4-door and am gonna do a swap. I've done alot of research and I'm really leaning towards the b18c1 with turbo. My plan for the car is to have it daily drivable, but also a good racing AND show car. Lately I've been having second thoughts about going B series though since they're so common now days. I've recently been wondering if going K20 would be worth it, the only problem with that is it's so expensive that it will be a whole lot longer before I have my car show worthy.

I really do want to end up going boost, so I've been keeping that in mind. RIght now I'm pretty sure I'm gonna go with the b18c1. Anyways, since you guys are more expierenced what's your thoughts?

Oh, and of the b18, h22, and k20 swaps which has potential to handle better? I know alot say the b series do, but I've heard that with the right mods the others are just as good?

P.S. Yes I've searched and done research, just wondering what everyone's thoughts would be for my situation.

If you have the money, K20 is the way to go. Why? Because there are more and more parts becoming available for this motor. Also, they are newer, bigger, faster, stronger, etc. Plus, you're garaunteed low mileage. ANNDD.. not too many people have done them *yet*. Soon enough, they'll be swapped in as often as B series. But if you wanna skimp on cash, B18c1 is definitely an overall good choice.

I agree w/0kuam......

As far as the handling goes, any heavier motor is going to cause different handling characteristics of the car. but hte difference isnt anything that a good drop/set of springs etc will take care of....

K20 FTW!

B18C1 if you are impatient. You will be happy with both.

k20 is nice. that will score lots of points at a car show. h22 is too heavy. you will end up killing your front/rear weight ratio.b18c is nice but like you said, they are becoming more common. the b series have strong blocks which is good for boost. so id say(with you wanting to go boost)go b series.

Yea I'm def thinking the b series right now. The K20 would hurt my pocket too much at this time that I wouldn't really be able to bring it to it's full potential any time soon. If I go b18c1 then I'll have enough money left over to immediately customize it and fix the body and interior up.

I'm just gonna have to get creative to make myself stand out from the crowd, already have a few good ideas though so it shouldn't be a problem. Thanks for your feedback guys.
