I'm looking to buy a muffler for my car and I'd like to spend under $120
I just want something cheap so I was on ebay and found some called fireball muffler and type r muffler, I don't really know the story on these cheap things, if u have any suggestions let me know please,
btw I'd like to shoot for a low rumble, not one of those loud whiny exhausts,
thanks

get a nice axleback. It will be easier to install IMO

oooo get a twin loop muffler if your really want it. They are nice sounding, but you will have to bring it to a muffler shop to get it welded

I have an ebay exhaust .. what I did on mine was run 3" exhaust from the headers back, by-passed the cat., and have a BOMZ racing exhaust on the end.. The only thing about the exhaust I got is that you have to weld hangers on it because it didnt have any on it.. other than that it was cheap, and has a nice low rumble.

i suggest an axle back also , mufflers are pointless , there just loud , no horsepower added , axle back or save up fora full exhaust

unless you're willing to spend more... you're not going to get anything that will give you any gains. i used to have a full magnaflow catback exhaust ($350) with a stock cat and got pulled over 3 times for exhaust. it was rather loud... uh hmmm now on to the ownage.
i just changed my exhaust to a twin loop from an unkown company (got it locally from a guy off of team-integra) it looks identical to the mugen twin loop. and used the 2'25 piping from the magnaflow and got it all welded together and whatnot, and then got a high flow cat.
sounds great. the sound has a likeness almost to an exhausted scoobie. very quiet and clean, no rasp at high RPM even with sohc.
heres a parts list that i would use.
carsound hi-flo cat $65
2'25 piping and flanges $50 - $100
tiwn loop from ebay $75
aftermarket resonator $60
You're looking at around $250 - $300
not including install. still cheaper than my magnaflow and is much quieter and flows pretty close to the same.
(IMO very worth it.)
