Having troubles setting the timing on my z6/b7 mini-me setup. I got the crank pulley top dead center, but the cam gear is always out a tooth. Anyone else have this problem and now how to fix it? Any help/suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Cheers :)

You need either a y7/y8 cam gear, or an adjustable cam gear. With that setup you will be off in timing, and the y7/y8 cam gear will set the timing to where it needs to be. I have the same setup, so I just bought the y8 adjustable one, and it cured everything.
Good luck.

ok ive got somewhat the same issue. my setup is y7 block and a z6 head y7 oem cam gear, y8 intake manifold, and p2m ecu the car is a 2000(obd2b), and an obd1 jdm z6 dizzy if that makes a difference. the crank and the cam are set at tdc and it still wont run for shit. ive played with the dizzy all over the place and it will only just barely run if the dizzy is turned towards the rear of the car(which correct if i'm wrong is advancing the timing?) i need help, cuzi need this car up and running by november 18th
