Any Diy Engine Modz?

Hey guys, I have an EG hatch with everything all show and no go. The engine seems a bit stock. There are a couple of shows coming up soon and I wish to make my engine bay look better than its current state.

Any DIY modz I can do to the engine? Tips or ideas that will make it look better?
Yes, I searched many times but with no results.

clean it w/ simple green, amoral it down, wire tuck, paint walve cover

Amorall it? I did clean it and I did sand in the valve cover. How do you wire tuck???

yea armorall. or i just use a tire shine foam.
