Gas Light

Does the DX have the gas light to tell you when you are about to run out of gas. I was just wondering because my gas needle is practically almost empty and since the gas light didn't turn on I still think I have more to go before I actually run out. I have a 95 Civic DX with no owner's manual so I couldnt look it up there.

my 97 dx light doesn't turn on either. You would expect it to, seeing as there is a spot for it in the cluster.

ew, that sucks. mine tends to come about 2-3 gallons ahead.

i think it aint accurate cuz it is just so damn fast... it shifts the gas from side to side in the tank!!!!

I cant even find the light where it would turn on though. Since it was DX i thought it wouldnt have one. But funny that it doesnt even turn on anyway.

It will do that whenever you take a left or right turn. The gas needle on my car goes up on left turns, and then down on right turns. It's just the gas shifting side to side in your tank.

I kept thinking to myself, I'm going to replace that bulb one of these days. Never needed to it turns out.

I have a 97, and my light never has come on... I've even tried switching the bulb out... oh well, as long as you know about how many miles you can get on a tank, really you don't even need it.

mine just burned out. it never turns on anymore... niether of my other cars did either. fucking POS gas lights

I don't rely on them. I hate them actually... it's bad practice I think to run the car super low on gas. I always fil up a little above 1/4 a tank if need be.

Any SERIOUS racing events I have to go to, like a drag or autocross, I would let it run down, but fill up right after.

nevermind i lied. my gas light came on in the first time in like a year. when it came on i was at 338 miles on the tank LOL. w00t for economy!!
