Was just driving along on my way to grease up at the local taco bell and some dude in a yellow spec v hammers it and go's flying past me! I catch up and do the same and shortly after we catch a light, it's in a perfect spot 2 lanes either direction and no one around so we both start revving when the light starts to go yellow and were off!

We both got good launches not sure what he went at but I dumped it at about 3800, I immediately get 3/4's of car ahead of him then hit second can feel the tires breaking loose a little and by now have about 2 cars on him. As I was getting ready to shift into 3rd the little bitch quit and then throws his hazards on (HOMO)  anyway I could tell he had exhaust and intake more then likely thats it but I beat him fairly easy. The spec v's really aren't that fast everyone that I've raced I have beaten! :what:

I had a full bottle of spray (75 shots) standing by just in case he had a little something under the hood!

A few tenths faster than a stock one usually, they're torquey

that's what Nissan claims but do they really run that time? I think those times are taken from a dyno

I rode in a a spec V and they are def a little faster than my em1...i think they have a 2.5L engine or something...low redline but they got some low end

OK OK OK OK OK , not just saying this because now I own a spec, BUT no way you got 2 cars on him from the jump. Plus both fully bolted SPEC would take si no prob.................

MR99si has a full port & polish as well as other bolt-ons ans ignition mods, i'm not surprised he got the 2 lengths. remember, 2 lengths isn't that hughe of a difference. ;)

shes a little quicker: 2003 Nissan Sentra SE-R Spec V 7.3 15.6

I would call that a dirvers race...You should dump it about 4500+ otherwise you bog down with good tires.

2002 Nissan Sentra SE-R 7.2 15.4

All the specs of that gen are faster than the em1, even if it's only a tenth. I'm sure they are a tad heavier, but they have more power and ALOT more torque, with a much more accesible powerband. I've never raced one myself, but with his mods I don't doubt that MR99si would take one pretty easy. I'm a little lazy to look up full specs but it thinks its like 170hp 180ft/lbs or something with a 2.5L engine.

yeah 175hp/180ftlbs in spec-v.... they weigh the same.....

a tenth or 2 is a drivers race... Ive seen some pull pretty nice though... esp of the get...... :)

i raced one with my ac on and 3 people in the car and i lost but not by much. he was by himself and i probably would of caught him but my lane was ending. better safe than sorry. i've seen to many stupid crashes on the news
