The whole system is eclipse i have two 10's in that ported box and 5 1/2 components in the front with a 1000 watt class D for the subs and a 400 watt powering the speakers it dose sound really good actually but i think alot of it has to do with the 8 volt eclipse deck i have :D the wheels are 17'' tenzo mach 10s with omni power full coilovers

4 grand you can get a zc for like 600 bucks or a b16 or b18 wouldnt be too much are you going to swap it yourself?

switch those 2 around, 4k for a full b series swap, ZC you can get the motor for about $600 and do the swap for around 1k

how much hp are we talking if i were to go with a dohc zc? i heard they are on like 35 lbs more then stock d15, also what would be need to be able to boost it, would i need to build the engine first or is it even easy to find parts for them to do it?
oh and thanks for the help :thumbs up
Steven.

www.thezcr.com
stock rating at teh crank is 136hp
dont sound like alot, but there really nice motors, i LOVE mine

oh ya i would also have someone swap it for me, i have done everything myself that is on my car so far bu,t swaping wiring harness' and computers dont sound like a lot of fun and i think it would turn out better with someone that dose them every day doing the job.
Any guess on a reasonable price of a turbo zc installed :drive:
all go no show
06-13-2006, 01:34 AM
if you have 4g, fuck the zc and fuck any other d series unless you boost. Just go b-series. I mean the zc is a good motor, but the b's are on a whole other level.
Steven.
06-13-2006, 01:35 AM
boosted ZC will beat a stock B16 anyday, ive beat LS before with my stock ZC. ZC is super easy to swap in.
all go no show
06-13-2006, 01:38 AM
but you dont even need boost. Maybe he doesnt need something crazy.. a b-series pulls stock. The point is, the argument has happened 12 billion times.. we wont settle anything, let him do it.
Steven.

what ever he chooses, i know my ZC has GREAT pull from 4500-8200 redline.

good god sir  ... that is bad azz thats just the dohc zc and an si tranny ya that looks so bad! my car currently (with the 17's and the system) out at rocky mtn raceway ran a 20.1 if i remember right now thats in utah so maybe elevation had a little bit to do with it but shiz thats just a joke
Steven.

well my untuned, bald tires, 100 degree, 90% humidty, ran 15.5, my first time ever running at a track. in the mountians. B series cost more and harder to swap in, ZC, uses stock mounts, D series transmissions, stock shift linkage.

ha sorry man too much at once... im still getting used to the whole thing. ya thats tight 15.5 so how much are we taking for the si tranny since im rockin the dx and all. also the ecu is replaced right? im just wondering because i had mine sent to jet to get a chip and im just tryin to see if anthing like the header and intake would still work
Steven.
06-13-2006, 02:24 AM
yep header will work a cold air or shot ram will still work.
if you get a SI tranny your stock axles and hubs will work.
all you have to do is do the MPFI conversion, and run either a PM7(ZC) ecu, PG7(88-89 integra), or SI(PM6) PM7 would be best.

Steven.
06-13-2006, 09:51 AM
it has everything, in cluding the trans and intermediate shaft. and wiring harness
91 civic
06-13-2006, 10:38 PM
ya thats the si tranny and the better of the three ecu's i could use right... is that a good price if i end up buying it now
Steven.
06-14-2006, 12:43 AM
the one on ebay has teh ZC tranny, abotu the same as SI but a little long gears( not really different), plus you get equal length shafts.

06-14-2006, 10:11 PM
what what do you mean it has a transmission off what? not the crx
Steven.
06-14-2006, 10:25 PM
