every sunday i go out to the track, which is an 1/8, to hang out. well this weekend was the 1st time i ran my hatch since i did the frankenstien swap.
old LS setup = 9.6@71mph (best)
frank setup =
1st run - crappy launch. 9.4@76mph
2nd run - good launch, missed 2nd, it burned out halfway down the track. 9.6@71mph
im going back next weekend hopefully w/ better tires. my goal is to come home w/ a 9.2=)

Yes.
1/8 Mile time X 1.5832 = 1/4 Mile Time

they;re hard to come by in some areas. the added length of the track just isn;t avalible so the 1/8th mile is all u can do.

Not everyone has a full 1/4 mile track. Like me. There is a 1/8 mile track 5 miles from my house and a 1/4 mile track 40 miles from my house.

Every car pulls different on the big end. It is just a quick reference fourmula to get an idea of what your 1/4 mile time might be.

so went to the track last night. i dont think i let my car cool down enough before i ran but i ran consecutive 9.3's all night on sucky street tires. i was pissed cuz my goal was to leave there w/ a 9.2 and it bugged me cuz i was sooo closew/ a 9.316.
but out of the 4 runs i raced:
modded srt4 (lost to him)
GSR i/h/e (creamed him)
97 camero i/h/e/cam (he didnt burnout and i did and i beat him BARELY)
ran solo

I doubt thats accurate because your going from a dead stop in the first 8th and the 2nd 1/8 mile your already at 70+miles per hour theres no way to accurately calculate it, just go run it and find out for sure

it seems fairly accurate... looking at some of my old slips my 1/8 times were mid 9's and my 1/4 mile times were low 15's...
