turn orange tail light to red??

What's the best way to change the orange part of my tail light to red? been looking everywhere for tail lights that's all red with a white/clear backup light for my 4dr civic but can't find any.

Yeah, i was thinking of painting them or putting red transparent tape. What's the right way to paint them(a how-to would be nice :mrgreen: )? And what type of red should i use so none of the orange shows?

just get 99-00 tails and use red bulbs

if i were to paint the oranges red, what color would it light up as? should i change the bulb to red also?

There is alot of people that have done it... Melt painted his stock orange to red like you want to... I painted the top half of my tezzas, which anti-tezza'd them into red/clears... Here is the thread from when i painted my tezzas, its a really long thread, but its basically a how-to...

ok so i know they make clear corners and all that shit but your sain' on the back of my 89 civic i can sand then paint the orange part of my tails?

yeah you should be able to with no problem... The only thing i dont know is that you might have to paint the entire light, or you would be able to tell a difference in shade of red between the paint and the part thats already red...

96-98 and 99-00 4 door tails are NOT interchangeable like the coupes are!
