b20b or b20z one has a better intake then the other. Go with the b20z

Steven.

you still have to use a LS intake for either one.

i would go B20z.

since you have OBD1, use a OBD1 LS dissy and intakemanifold, and a OBD1 PR4 ecu.

those b20b numbers dont look right, if they had ls manifolds and ecu it should be much higher, there comparing it to the stock crv i think

look at hmmotorsonline.com there numbers are totally different for the b20b

The B20Z seems more difficult to find too.

Digits 3-6 in your VIN tell you your chassis code. The EG9 has a B16A and is a JDM model.

I thought it could be an EH9 too? I actually also have EG1 as being possible... though I'm not sure. I have EH1 as being a JDM 4WD Ferio model though.

no their not. B20Z had about 20more hp, lil more tq, higher compression (B20B is like 8.5:1), & cylinder oil jets like the VTEC motors.

Steven.

B20z, with B16 or type r LSD tranny.

B20Z & GSR trans would be the best pretty much. B20B is a low end low rev motor & ITR trans is just a little to close geared for that

The two B20Bs on there just have pics taken at different angles. The intake manifolds are the same.

The B20B has 8.8:1 versus the B20Z's 9.6:1. I actually included that in the table on page one.

Start looking in junkyards.

And PLEASE look at that link Green 91 posted on the first page. It will show you the VISUAL difference between the B20B and the B20Z. It doesn't seem you have them straight yet.

Aren't all B20a (both the B20B and the B20Z at least) in Japan called B20Bs anyway?

You're going to have to look at other places besides online shops. I've found several for sale in my area.

B20z is the better buy. For the reason stated by another member. They usually run about $670-$750, but are a bit harder to find than B20b.

No way.. GSR trans all the way. Those B20's don't like the constant high rpm when cruising.

I have H&R Springs ( Race ) and Tokico Struts. Ride is pretty smooth, especially on Shitty nYc roads. I had Omni Power Crap on my 94 Hatch, shyt was stiff as crap and bumps were Murder. I also had Tein basics on my 00 GS-R and the ride was just as harsch as the Omni power shyt. On smooth road, they were nice. Use Stock axles.

A straight B20 or B20VTEC? Get some H&R springs & some nice struts like Tokico/ Koni's.
