Your driving a slow car built for gas mileage. It wasn't made to go fast without major mods and lots of money. Sorry.

would my D16 with 200,000 miles handle it and be reliable though?
I wouldn't do it. Not with that many miles.

Then again, I wouldn't throw a turbo on without building the motor anyway no matter what the miles are.

You won't gain anything but butt horsepower, because it might just feel like you're going faster when you're really not.

try portmatching your im and boring out your tb opening on your im.
You can use a b18b tb I believe
Or swap a y8 manifold
Both are relitively cheap

I am sorry, but no it didn't. Not anything that you can feel. Those bolt ons gave it maybe 2-5 hp. There is no way you feel that. It is just louder and you think you can feel the power. It is common. A LOT of people fall for it and it is why the aftermarket companies have a lock on things and advertise big horse power gains when they actually don't. Trust me all of us have fallen for it at the beginning. Well most do anyways.

There is NOTHING you are going to be able to do to that motor for more power without digging into the internals and throwing a ton of money at it. You can't make these cars fast on a budget unless your budget is enough for a turbo or nitrous.

Simple bolt ons will NOT gain you enough power to make it worth it.

Lose the attitude. I did nothing to warrant it.
