I am posting for a friend who is not computer savvy. Is it possible to swap the engine from an '06 Civic SI into a '96 Civic EX?

Hmmm. Well he is a mechanic with his own shop. He likely would not have asked me if he didn't already have a donor engine/car. I can see if he will do some pics of the work =)

I am the one who my friend posted for about the 06 si swap into the 96 ex. What is needed for this swap? I have the engine, however the transmission is auto and I have a manual car. I am looking for a manual trany now. Looking for tips on conversion kit i would need?

Thanks

Damn. i think i will be looking into a gsr motor or something of that sort. Seems like its gonna get real pricey and a very long build.

Thank you for the heads up

they can be really expensive depending on how you approach the swap. Buying all the pre-made parts to swap is a killer. buying second hand and doing fab work saves thousands.

the cheapest way of getting a k swap, is by buying someones completed or nearly complete project.
