My car is at 149k miles and recently the check engine light has appearing. Advance Auto Part linked my car and found that the Check Engine light is throwing the P0706 - Transmission Range Sensor, Circuit Range / Performance (No-Position) error.
From my understanding, this is the sensor on automatic transmission cars that checks the speed of the car and when to shift the car's gears. I have been noticing my RPM as of late, and the car was missing its shifts, but not so much hesitation in the shifts. I was told this is a expensive sensor to fix.
So for anyone who has seen that, is it worth fixing, or is it better to look to buy a another pre-owned Civic. This car has last me 8 years!
