I want to get rid of the K&N intake this Civic HX had when I bought it...I see a complete airbox on eBay...but it's for the D16Y8. Will it fit?

What is the engine in your car? Please include year, model, trim, engine, trans, and any modifications to the vehicle in EVERY question thread you start. We can't help you if we don't know what you are working with and it doesn't do any good to guess. Especially considering the frequency people swap motors out of these things.

From the limited details provided, if we assume you have a stock Y5 motor - yes. Y8 and Y5 setups are pretty similar. Manifold, TB, intake, fuel rail etc are all interchangeable for those.

Our of curiosity, why remove the K&N intake? Those are some of the better ones out on the market.

Yes, it's the stock HX engine, I had hoped you guys would have assumed that.

And why get rid of the K&N intake? Because I'm bringing this car back to stock.

I'm going to get the OEM airbox and probably throw that intake in the trash.

Lol. Why would we just assume? You realize that swapping a motor in these is as common as putting that intake on that you are dying to get rid of. Swaps are one of the top 5 asked questions here.
