Hey everyone. I picked up a project 98 civic ex coupe. Trying to teach myself mechanics and figured this would be a good place to start. Going to do some body work and try to fix up the engine as best as I can.

Yikes. Looks like you have a lot of work ahead. Just curious, why bondo the fender? They are cheap to replace and all you would need is minor prep and then paint. Or are you using it as a teaching aid? Same thing for the door. You can get them cheap at a junk yard.
Good luck either way. It's going to be a battle. Make sure you do it right where you are fixing the rust. Looks like you just covered it with bondo. You need to actually sand down THROUGH the rust or cut it out, or it will just keep spreading and all your hard work will be for nothing. Also, bondo right non a body line like that is going to be almost impossible to get straight and correct.

to CC.Man is that going to need some work. Do you plan on trying to fix the panels or replace them?
