coolent in engine block

is their a drain plug in the block. i am doing a head gasket and have already drained coolent from bottom of radiator. i removed the head and coolent is still in the cylinder walls

So what is the problem? Put the new gasket on and bolt the head down.

ALL the coolant isn't going to drain out. Hell you can just drain the coolant out of the head and .5in out of the block and change the HG. If the radiator is dry then you have drained PLENTY.

There is a drain plug but we need to know which motor it is, d16y series motors the coolant plug is on the back of the block, i believe the d16z6 coolant plug is on the front of the block and like the picture shows b series is on the front to I guess. You should be alright just draining the radiator though, I changed my headgasket and left the block full of coolant just try not to spill oil from the head

I just drained the coolant from the upper radiator hose... worked for me.
