What are the odds!!

So my 98 civic was bouncing on the revs while driving and it was really annoying! But today I had to disconnect the battery to do some other work on the wiring and when all plugged back in the car started driving fine! In fact it feels more responsive!! Anyone else had this?

It's possible your throttle cable got stuck.

EDIT: Also, it may feel more responsive because unplugging the battery reset's the ECU, so it has to wait for the cat / o2 sensors to be "ready" again. Drive around 30 miles or so and see how it runs then.
