Evening All

Got a small issue on the way home from work today My EP3 Type R started to splutter then when i pulled up to the lights it cut out, Started it back up after a few tries and it sits rough (really rough) and sounds like a tractor and very shaky, It has thrown a P0341 - Camshaft Position Sensor 'A' Circuit Range/Performance error. The car has had a new timing chain kit a few month ago so can rule out stretched chain. The battery is also outputting 12.26v when car is off and 14.1v when on so can rule out weak battery i think :-)

I was just wondering if anyone had any ideas where i should start diagnosing the problem or if anyone has had similar?#

Cheers in advance :-)

As per http://www.obd-codes.com/p0341... Keep in mind this is a general suggestion.

A code P0341 may mean that one or more of the following has happened:
- Cam sensor wiring routed too close to spark plug wiring (causing interference)
- Poor wiring connection at cam sensor
- Poor wiring connection at PCM
- Bad cam sensor
- Damaged reluctor wheel

Check your wiring as implied above. If its fine then replace the cam sensor.
