How to take out an engine and tranny...?? NEED HELP.

So, I am young and inexperienced, and need some advice. I'm trying to part my civic right now--starting with the engine and tranny--and I don't have a cherry picker. Is there any way for me to take them out? And, honestly, I'm not sure what I would do even if I HAD a cherry picker... (noob...

PLEASE LOOK and offer suggestions. Crashed 95 coupe...

I'll take good care to check that out. Thanks for that note... I'd bet Honda could tell me, though. A full inspection is cheap where I am. So, disregarding salvage, perhaps??? And I love the look, personally. It was after 95 that things went downhill... :)

Alright. So pretty much all for parting...Now get this. Was on craigslist for a bit and dialed a guy up. Check out this ad first: http://kansascity.craigslist.org/cto/3197980298.html This guy is willing (perhaps) to do a near-straight trade for my crashed 95 for this 88 in solid condish (i...

Shoot man. That really sucks... How tough is the part out process? I also am not sure where I would sell the d16z6--it's working perfectly, along with the tranny--grrr...parting is gonna suck.

PLEASE LOOK and offer suggestions. Crashed 95 coupe...

So. This morning I was headed to school and pulled out in front of a car that had been previously invisible. Now, this is what my car looks like: Here is a view down the side: Now some frame damage right in between the door and fender (sorry for the sideways pic): and finally, the...

Evolution of my ej1 from joining to date

Any free/cheap appearance upgrades? I'll be fixing what little rust I have soon, also repainting trim to be black (I like original color), though maybe glossier, likely painting the mirrors the same black, and then painting the front grates black. Anything you can think of?

I lowered the back 1/2" because it was popped up, just through the Komi adjustable positions, but not really. While I'm in stock class in solo, I can't really lower. I just put mine back to where I was supposed to be. I will after moving to the next class tho. :)

Evolution of my ej1 from joining to date

It has been awhile since I have updated pics of my car, but here is the evolution from day one to now. First Day at home: As can be seen, paint was falling off in chunks, the rims are a bit throwback, and it was a bit dirty... A few months later: 500 watts to kenwood fronts and...

    Uh-oh! Complete n00b alert!

Also, I forgot. You could try to find a fender at a yard in better condish.

Also, if that's all the rust you have, it just requires some elbow grease. You'll need an electric sander, or a sanding wheel on a drill, and matching paint (which is likely the more expensive part). Just take the fender off by it's six or seven bolts and go to town sanding the rust away. If the...

What are you doing / did you do today / CHAT THREAD

I don't know. I piddled around and moped about my lack of monies to use on my car. Who wouldn't. ;)

    what next please?

I'm a fan of the tail tint. We'll be buddies. ;) I add for window tint, and if you're going to be swapping wheels and tires, I wouldn't try lo-pros on 14's, maybe on 15's, but only if you lower it in conjunction. Also, I might try out headlight eyelids. They look a little silly on some cars...

    tire help autox/dd

I agree. I'm very thankful for the 5 or so races that I ran dirt stock. Now, with the Konis, I'm planning to step it up...I have some insane competition in H-stock, though; A mini Cooper and two National placing drivers race with me every event. That particular mini has won 2nd place in Nats for...
