    New SI Coupe

Just picked up a new SI Coupe about a week and a half ago. Just a bit over 200 miles on it so haven't been able to do to much since I am in the brake in period still. Love the new design and the car is so much fun even while I keep it under 4K rpms and no full throttle romps. I was surprised at...

    I'm new!

I read an article the other day where one of the heads of the engine design crew stated they kept the HP down on the SI in order to maintain the life of the motor. That basically if they went higher that, the longevity of the motor wouldn't be as good. Of course they didn't state where the limit...

    Bad wheel shake when braking!!!!!!!

Nope...you are stuck with your alignment the way it is when you lower it........jk. Go get it re aligned now that you have lowered it. It is cheaper on the tires.

    Front plates re-located...

Hope you were not planing on putting in fog lights. Also, I hope you realize that is gonna flap like a mother and scrape your bumper. Props to the idea and doing it on your own though. Just consider this version 1.0 and do a revise.

    Bad wheel shake when braking!!!!!!!

You wheels being out of balance can cause that. My buddies RSX had thrown all the wieghts off of one wheel and did the same thing. Got the tires rebalanced and BINGO!! no vibration. Now if I could only get him rebalanced.

    Serious problems with 06 Civic

Wow....I have spent hardly any money in Maintenance. I have about 118,000 on my 99. I also own a 01 honda van with 89,000 on it....again very little needed in repairs. The thing is they are both from long lines of a model with very little changes in the model line through out the years. The 06...

    Brake squeel from new brakes??

Could it actually be the anti squeel grease that I didn't put between the shim and the outer pad? And can some one explain to me how the hell there is squeel from not putting it on? Sorry i am more of an auto electrician and fabricator than mechanic.

99 civic ex power steering 'shake'

I would say you are looking at the right area of the car. Do you hear any noise at all? If you trust your wife you could have her drive and walk/run along side of the car to determine which side and where a noise may be coming from. Just be nice to her so she doesn't decide to "acidently" run...
